The Ogemaw Sheriff’s Section is hoping an autopsy sheds light on what took place to a Bay Metropolis pair and their toddler son following their bodies ended up discovered more than the weekend in northern Michigan, about 175 miles north of Detroit.

Amanda Pomeroy, 32, her 35-12 months-aged boyfriend Douglas Dougherty and their 7-thirty day period-aged son, Jacob, had been identified useless Saturday around 4:20 p.m. on Stoney Ridge Road in Rose Metropolis exterior their disabled pickup truck, which “hung up” on a boulder. The three were being clothed but not wearing footwear, Ogemaw Undersheriff Paul Frechette said Tuesday.

Amanda Pomeroy, 32, her 35-year-old boyfriend Douglas Dougherty and their 7-month-old son, Jacob, were found dead Saturday around 4:20 p.m. on Stoney Ridge Road in Rose City outside their disabled pickup truck, which "hung up" on a boulder.

A snowmobiler observed their bodies outdoors the truck, a silver 2006 Chevy Silverado, nearly two months right after they ended up past witnessed traveling to spouse and children in close proximity to Rose Metropolis. 

The area in which they have been found is wooded and much from households or other residential spots.

“It can be even now an active investigation,” Frechette claimed.

Douglas Dougherty’s parents, Michael and Shirley Dougherty, instructed WJRT-Television, Flint, in an interview soon following the couple’s disappearance that they have been at a decline for words.
