MINDEN, La. (KSLA) – The dad and mom of a 7-thirty day period-outdated lady have been arrested and charged with negligent homicide after an autopsy observed methamphetamine in the baby’s system.
Officers with the Minden Law enforcement Section say on Dec. 8 close to 1:30 p.m., officers have been named out to Minden Motel about an unresponsive kid. Police say they did not originally suspect foul participate in in the infant’s death, but the autopsy report from the Webster Parish Coroner’s Office demonstrates the toddler died of methamphetamine intoxication.
On the day of the child’s death, the mother reportedly advised police she’d offered the baby a bottle, then she and the child’s father experienced fallen asleep together with the newborn in the very same mattress.
Minden Police Chief Steven Cropper says the child’s parents, 27-yr-previous Randavious Mosley and 27-12 months-previous Shondreka McGlothern, are billed with negligent murder.
They are currently being held in Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Middle, exactly where they have been booked late the night time of Wednesday, Jan. 20, scheduling records show. Bond has been set at $500,000 every.
Cropper suggests Mosley advised law enforcement that McGlothern experienced 2 grams of meth in her possession the day right before the baby’s loss of life.
