Tim Allen pays tribute to Property Improvement character Wilson in Very last Gentleman Standing sneak peek

Tim Allen will honor a beloved character from his ’90s sitcom Dwelling Advancement throughout the special Past Guy Standing crossover episode airing Thursday night on Fox.

In the episode, titled “Twin Time,” Mike Baxter (Allen) has a tete-a-tete with Tim Taylor (also played by Allen), a residence repairman who could be his twin. The Tool Guy brings up Wilson, his previous neighbor who only showed 50 % his face peeking previously mentioned the wooden fence that divided their houses during their lots of yard discussions.

Wilson was portrayed by Earl Hindman across 202 Household Enhancement episodes that aired in between 1991 and 1999. The actor died of lung most cancers in 2003, at 61.

In the distinctive clip higher than, Mike asks Tim, “Who was Wilson?”

“Just one of my neighbors, really,” Tim replies. “For lots of, quite a few years, I shared a whole lot of things with him. He passed away.” He afterwards provides, “I skip Wilson. I overlook a large amount of stuff.”

Allen tells EW of the tribute, “Earl meant the environment to me and every person at Household Improvement. It was an organic and natural instant to settle on, both equally on the established and in our hearts.”

Fox announced in October that the ninth year of Last Guy Standing, which kicked off Jan. 3, would be its previous. The season premiere released a sequence of time jumps that observed Mike and his spouse, Vanessa (Nancy Travis), with two new grandchildren, and also coping with acquiring their center daughter, Mandy (Molly McCook), and her husband, Kyle (Christoph Sanders), residing with them.
