I saw this great Abstract Christmas card idea on Pinterest, it would have been fun to make, but I knew that my charges would lose interest if they had to colour them all in. It also brought back memories of using Paint on the computers at school. Did you ever do that? Make spider web type pictures and then fill in all the gabs with the paint fill? Then get really annoyed if your line had some small gap that would cause the entire picture to go one colour. I wonder how many hours I wasted doing that at school. Anyway, this was the perfect solution to making these card.

To make your own Abstract Christmas card you will need:
- A computer with Paint on it
- Printer
- Card
- Glue
Obviously, you can make this with pens rather than on the computer if your little ones would enjoy doing the colouring. Mine would get fed up after the first few cards. I would love doing it by hand.
Open paint on your computer. In the middle of the page draw a Christmas tree or use the star template. Then draw lines across the page to create the abstract look. In each blank area fill it with a colour. When you are ready save your picture.
Now I am not the most tech savvy person, so I don’t know if there is an easier way to do this. I opened my picture in word and played around with the size until I was happy. Then printed it out. I could get two abstract pictures on one page.
Cut out your picture and stick it onto your card.
Add a Christmas message on if you wish. You can also do this part in Paint.
